Auction Items

Start stashing away your spare change because you won’t want to miss the opportunity to take home one of the incredible items we have in this year’s auction. Some have been donated by our celebrity guests. Some from the collections of long time Andy Griffith Show fans and collectors. Many of them are handmade, one of a kind TAGS themed collectibles. A few are very rare pieces that would be the crowning jewel in any Mayberry fan’s collection. These are just a few of the many items that will be available so don’t miss the opportunity to bid on them all at this year’s banquet and auction.

Andy Griffith Parkway Dedication Items

This is a set of very rare memorabilia from the dedication of US 52 as the Andy Griffith Parkway in 2002. Included is a sign that was displayed around Mt. Airy during the event, a copy of the program distributed at the event, and a photocopy of Andy Griffith’s signature in the guestbook from his stay.

Grand Ole Opry Program from Andy Griffith Appearance

This is an official program from the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, TN dated November 13, 1999. That night Andy made a special appearance on a segment with Earl Scruggs and Marty Stuart among others. You may not have been there in person, but with your own personal copy of the program from that night, you can sure pretend that you were!

Emma’s Pill Bottle Label

Here we have a paper label personally signed by our own Miss Ellie, Elinor Donahue. The label was created to represent one we might see on Emma’s pills. You know, the inexpensive miracle drug. You could even attach it to a bottle if you like. We don’t have any of Emma’s pills, though. So, if you have a pain that the late show won’t take your mind off, well, you’re just on your own.

Taylor Home Model

This one-of-a-kind, handmade model of the Taylor home in Mayberrry is a remarkable piece of art. Lovingly constructed from scratch by Cousin Russell Estes, this beautiful piece includes a tremendous amount of detail. You’ll want to climb onto the porch and sit down for a visit, and maybe even see if you can peel an apple without breaking the peeling!

Mayberry Character Socks

Show off your Mayberry style with this set of character themed socks. Share your love for Barney, Colonel Harvey and the Fun Girls wherever you go.

Vintage 1960 Table Top Radio

This radio is the same model that Aunt Bee used to listen to her stories. What are we ever going to do about poor Celia? Will she ever find true happiness? Not according to Aunt Bee. She was put out with John, ya know. “Men, men, men!” Far from a decorative piece, this is a working radio and comes with an MP3 player so you can hear Celia and John, and whatever else you like, just like Aunt Bee did.

Vintage Bullet Newsletters

A set of 13 “The Bullet” newsletters published by TAGSRWC from 1985 – 1990. Kids, believe it or not, before today’s electronal marvels, people actually used to read news that was printed on real paper. These are treasured keepsakes from years gone by and contain wonderful insights into the goings on in the Mayberry fanbase from 40 years ago. They would make a great addition to any Mayberry fan’s collection.

Otis Campbell Day Package

Here we have a nice group of Otis Campbell items. Hal Smith made an appearance in Nashville, TN on February 13, 1988 at Vanderbilt University. The appearance was sponsored by TAGSRWC and the Phi Kappa Sigma fraternity. This group includes two programs from the day’s festivities, a copy of “The Bullet” with a story about the event, and a nice promotional picture of Hal as Otis.

Mark Enger Mayberry Shadowbox

You may have seen one of the amazing shadowboxes and dioramas made by talented Mayberry fan Mark Enger. The detail he includes is absolutely amazing. You really feel like you’re looking at the Mayberry courthouse when you peek through the glass. These are rare items and highly valuable, but you have a chance to take it home with you from the Mayberry Comes to Scottsburg auction.

Vintage Mayberry Ornament

This is an officially licensed The Andy Griffith Show ornament from 1999. It’s made of clear plastic shaped as a color Andy Griffith Show logo. You won’t find many of these around today. Add it to your collection and hang it on your Christmas tree for years to come.

Vintage TV Land Button

This is a TV Land button featuring our favorite deputy, Barney Fife. The year is unknown, but it’s likely at least 30 years old. Another item that you won’t easily find today.

Etched Wood Signs

We’ll have several beautiful Mayberry themed wood signs etched with pictures of your favorite Mayberry characters. They’d make great additions to your Mayberry room, man cave or she shed. Let everyone know that you’re a fan of The Andy Griffith Show.

George Lindsey Matchbook

Obtained from the estate of George Lindsey, this paper matchbook is a wonderful connection to our favorite Goober. George gave out many of these over the years, but it’s been a long time since you were able to get one from him. This is a rare opportunity to add this to your Mayberry collection.
